Cost & Margin
We can finally see what the product costs to run
Sauron, the internal ops dashboard, gained a full usage and COGS surface this fortnight — 12 PRs, nine of them on usage alone. Spend is attributed to the operation that caused it and priced from the live rate card, with each day priced at the rate that actually applied that day rather than today's. Fleet, per-user and per-operation views all price the same way, lead-search vendor cost is surfaced with a fanned-out search counted once, and our own model costs now break down per step of a job. Together with the attribution work in empire, per-workspace and per-feature cost is measurable rather than estimated — the input both pricing decisions were waiting on.
Outreach
Campaign creation is now an agent, not a pipeline
Outreach campaign creation is live in the Zig workspace on a new agentic architecture. The agent inspects the leads, decides how to group them, plans the messaging, and lets the rep steer any of those decisions in conversation — instead of a fixed generation pipeline the rep could only accept or reject.
Custom Agents
A bespoke quote agent is live at a customer
Zig built a Dedicated Circuit Quote agent for Nobilite and put it in their hands inside this fortnight — demoed Aug 26, presented to their team Aug 31, and live in their production workspace from Sep 1 behind a feature flag with a phone number they provisioned themselves. It takes a dedicated-circuit quote request by phone or by email, drafts the quote, and holds it for a human to approve before anything is sent. This is the first fully custom, single-customer agent Zig has shipped end to end.

📨 Outreach & Campaigns
Shipped▾
The new agentic architecture for campaign creation went live in the Zig workspace. Around it: reps can now remove contacts from an audience before it is planned, plan a session for just the contacts they selected rather than a whole list, give any step its own subject line, attach a scheduling link from the message plan review, and let Zig recommend not segmenting at all.
Led by Jaskaran
👤 Contacts & Companies
Shipped▾
A batch of fixes and quality-of-life improvements went out across contacts and companies, announced to sales with a demo. Clicking a contact name opens the contact panel instead of jumping to LinkedIn. New Re-enrich forces a fresh enrichment after correcting an email, phone, name or LinkedIn URL. New Reveal Again re-fetches an email or phone for an already-revealed contact. Company matching now prioritises companies already in the workspace, and logos persist when adding a company from search. Contacts with a mobile number can be called directly from the companies page.

📱 Mobile Apps
Live on both stores▾
iOS and Android are both live with the new visual skin and a better-structured Today page. The Meetings tab hero and cards were redesigned, the tab bar reworked, and rich-text email signatures with a share UI shipped alongside a mobile design-system pass.

🗂️ Meeting Follow-ups & Next Best Actions
Shipped, fixes ongoing▾
No-reply follow-ups now work: Zig nudges the rep when an email goes unanswered and backs off as soon as the prospect replies, capped at three chases and traced to the originating meeting. The "No reply" badge no longer appears on follow-up cards that had nothing to do with an unanswered email. Next Best Actions is now on by default for new workspaces instead of being stamped off, and cards record where they came from and who owns the follow-up.

🏪 Pipedrive Marketplace
Published, untested in production▾
The Pipedrive app is verified and published on the marketplace. Users search for Zig in Pipedrive, click install, and it lands in their workspace; uninstalling from Pipedrive removes it. Install confirmation and success pages are hosted by Zig.
Led by Sharath Savasere
🔓 Onboarding Wizard & Self-Signup
Live on production▾
The onboarding wizard landed as five sequenced pieces: a stateless core with state, domain and the entry gate; "What you sell" offerings and research; "Who you sell to" per-product ICP generation; competitor intel with batch discovery and candidate review; and a finish step that promotes the result into a durable record. Self-signup workspace creation with a Stripe/Metronome billing gate merged on top of it.
Led by Sudhanshu
☎️ Voice & Quote Agent
Live at Nobilite▾
A dedicated Circuit Quote agent that can take a call over a real phone number and send the quote by email, with the call transcript shown on the quote draft and a human review step before anything goes out. Users can register a personal phone number from Settings, and pick an agent number from Settings → Agents.
Led by Lavish Mantri
⚙️ Inbound Automations & Product KB
Shipped▾
Search landed across the automations list, the outreach list and the activity tab, all server-backed with mode-aware defaults. Segment qualifier review is now draft-then-save rather than applying immediately. The Product Knowledge Base got a sections redesign with manual product creation and section deletion.

💳 Usage & Cost Attribution
Shipped▾
We can now see what each part of the product actually costs to run. Reveal and enrich usage is attributed to the owning lead list, lead-search vendor spend is captured per provider, and the LLM tokens lead search burns are attributed and priced.

What we're watching

Open items the team is actively working through.

Follow-up cards generated for the wrong party on relationship callsPriority
Erick got two cards after the Crexendo call that both had the direction backwards — Zig drafted us sending them an agreement when they are sending us one. Two companies were in the invite list and the call was classified as relationship, so Zig generated follow-ups on their behalf for us. Sharath is going through the transcript and prompts; the deeper ask from Piyush is that we surface why a given follow-up was generated at all.
A shared meeting files the follow-up under the wrong teammateFix in progress
When the same meeting sits on two people's calendars, Zig quietly assigns the card to the wrong one. The Aug 31 change making cards read-only for anyone but their owner turned that into a hard block — the rep who ran the call cannot revise, edit, approve or dismiss his own follow-up. Sharath has patched the owner on the reported card manually; the underlying fix is being written.
The agent trails off saying "ASEoD"Confirmed
Lanina Doxey (VP Wireline Sales, Nobilite) reported that the agent fades off mid-word when it says ASEoD on a call, and suggested it pronounce it "ACE ON DEMAND" instead. Confirmed from her email; Lavish Mantri is on it.
Contract term and human handoff not capturedIn progress
Two related asks from Nobilite in the same thread: the 24 vs 36 month contract term has to be captured on the quote ("Did Steve tell you to add the terms?? 24/36", then "Still need the term Daniel stated"), and the agent needs a handoff to a person. Both are in progress with Lavish Mantri.
Circuit spec fields missing from the order formAccepted
The circuit order form does not yet capture the Electrical / Single mode / Multi spec fields Nobilite needs on a dedicated circuit quote. Accepted and queued with Lavish Mantri.
Enriched leads not appearing under Companies → ContactsConfirmed bug
Andy reported leads built through Lead Builder do not show up under the company's Contacts. Karthick has confirmed it is a bug and is investigating. No fix ETA yet.
Clearpath test outreach landing in spamExternal
A test sequence sent to Andy went to spam; the same send reached Lavish's inbox normally. Deliverability on the purchased Clearpath domains looks clean on the Instantly dashboard, so Jaskaran has raised it with the Instantly team. Working theory is the hyperlinked signature. Blocked on a third party.
Dialer creates CRM-update cards for unanswered callsFix raised
Tony and Erick both flagged this: every unanswered dial produces a CRM update the rep cannot dismiss, and during cold-call blocks those pile up. Erick also saw four identical "No Answer" notes get four different statuses. Sharath has confirmed unanswered calls should not create a CRM sync card and is raising a fix.
Sequence stats do not sync back from Instantly automaticallyPlanned
Andy found an active sequence from Aug 2 showing 0 Sent in Zig against 70 sent in Instantly. There is a manual sync button; there is no auto-sync yet. Jaskaran is planning it — no date.
No way to upload a company list or a role prompt inside AI lead searchIn progress
Tyler had a CSV of Dreamforce sponsors and a written definition of the roles he wanted, and could use neither in the AI chat — he had to reformat the domain list in another tool and then type each job title by hand. Piyush confirmed this is what Karthick is working on now and called it top priority; other customers have asked for the same thing.
Outreach sequence length is fixed at three stepsAccepted
Tony, Tyler and Erick all pushed back on the same thing: step count was deliberately left out to reduce inputs, but reps need 2-step and 6-step campaigns and currently have to add or delete steps by hand. Jaskaran has agreed to add the choice. Manual message editing, the other half of the complaint, shipped during the fortnight.
RB2B webhook was silently disabled for a weekWatching
Tyler noticed RB2B had not run in seven days. The webhook had been turned off on the RB2B account; Lavish re-enabled it. Neither Lavish nor Piyush could find an audit log explaining who disabled it or when. Data was lost for that week and we have no detection for a silently dead integration.
